Developing groundsmen and playing surfaces for all clubs, schools and facilities across Gloucestershire.
The Gloucestershire Grounds Association’s (GGA) principle aim is to work in partnership with appropriate individuals, suppliers and agencies to develop both groundsmen and playing surfaces for all clubs, schools and facilities affiliated to the GCB.
Sean Williams, head groundsman for Gloucestershire Cricket is the association’s chairman. Sean brings a raft of knowledge from the game and has a real desire to support and develop groundsmen at clubs across the county.

The ECB has created a website to act as one-stop shop for all aspects of groundsmanship, which is designed to be a reference for cricket club volunteers to find practical guidance on maintaining and developing their ground.
Billed as the Essential Guide to Cricket Groundsmanship, the site offers a wide range of articles and videos covering everything from materials to tasks and operations and seasonal management.
If you are looking for hands-on help with your ground please contact Eric Woodmason who can advise of local experts in your area.
