GLOUCESTERSHIRE Girls U15s completed two excellent wins in a friendly double-header against Oxfordshire at Middleton Cheney CC.

In the first tie, the home side were restricted to just 48-7 after winning the toss, Isabel Richards taking 2-4 and Greer Barnes 2-12 (both from four) while there were also wickets for Sophie Granville-George, Florence Hampton and Lucy Thompson.

The target was well within range for Gloucestershire after Ellie Donaldson (21 not) and Liv Daniels (12) shared an opening stand of 47.

Gloucestershire batted first in the second clash, reaching 125-7 thanks to Bethan Manning (28 not), Emily Murray (25) and Isabel Richards (15).

In reply, Oxfordshire came up 58 runs short at 67-8, Emily Murray capturing 2-3 with Isabel, Lucy Thompson, Liv Daniels, Sophie Granville-George, Florence Hampton and Chloe Sharp all finishing with one wicket apiece.

Gloucestershire Girls U18s, meanwhile, rounded off a successful weekend with a seven-wicket victory away to Somerset at Taunton College.

The home side were bowled out for 69 by Rachel Le Poidevin (4-16), Lily Knox (3-5) and Katie Dolman (2-17) before Gaby Reeves (27) led Gloucestershire (pictured, image courtesy Matt Hunkin) to victory with plenty of overs to spare.

The U18s are back in action on Wednesday (16th) with a double header away to Wales.
