Clubs can now enter our 2021 Women’s and Girls Competitions, including, Women’s Hard and Soft Ball and U9, U11, U13 and U15 Competitions for Girls.
After 2020, a summer full of uncertainty, we are delighted to see the return of all Women’s and Girls competitions in a structured format as we had pre-COVID.
In addition, we are excited to introduce the Women’s 40 over Blast, a brand-new offer for players who want to experience a higher level of cricket. This is a GCB led competition which will bring together existing County, willing Women’s Hard Ball League players and former County players to form 3 teams with unique identities, not linked to cricket clubs. More information about how players can get involved will be circulated in the New Year.
Competition entries are now open. Sign your teams up using the button below – the deadline will be Sunday 31st January.
We don’t run Women’s and/or Girls Cricket, but are interested in starting in 2021…
Please contact Laura Charles-Price (firstname.lastname@example.org / 07554 452226) to discuss this further.
My club is interested, but we’re not sure we have enough players?
In order to promote and increase the number of girls playing cricket across the county, if your club is unable to enter a team on its own we are happy for clubs to link together to field a joint team. Of course this needs to be well thought through with effective communication between clubs. We have several good examples of where this has worked to great effect in other areas of the game and welcome this approach within girls’ cricket.
