CAPTAIN Katie Jones (pictured left) smashed 137 off only 89 balls for Gloucestershire Girls U15s who went on to defeat Wales by 182 runs at Dafen.
Katie’s memorable innings featured 18 fours and two sixes, and she shared a stand of 109 runs with Emily Murray (56 not) in an imposing total of 292-6 off 40 overs.
Wales, in reply, battled to total 110 against the threat of Issy Huggett (3-23) and Sophie Granville-George (2-9).
Gloucestershire Girls U13 Development squad, meanwhile, finished all square with Wales after two exciting T20 encounters at Thornbury.
Wales won the first head-to-head by just three runs despite an unbeaten 51 from Gloucestershire opener Maddie White.
But the home side fought back with an eight-run success in the second game, Emily Austen unbeaten on 40 before two wickets apiece from Prarthana Reddy, Lilly Moss and Josie Clargo ensured the win.
It was the same story for Gloucestershire Girls U11s who won one and lost one in a double header against Cambridgeshire at Malvern College.
Gloucestershire Girls U13s, meanwhile, emerged 117-run victors away to Wales in Port Talbot.
Krithika Karthik (32) and Alice Bailey (26 not) top scored in a challenge of 171-5 from 35 overs ahead of Wales being dismissed for 54 by Prarthana Reddy (4-13), Jennifer Rivers (3-2) and Taylor Hodgson (2-6).
This performance was a fine response to losing by 72 runs at home to Hampshire at Wycliffe College.
The visitors were well set at 79-0 after 20 but had to work hard to total 150-5 from their 35 overs against leg-spinner Prarthana who captured 3-9 from four.
Gloucestershire struggled at the start of their innings to 23-4 before Taylor (26) and Abi Bryan (9) shared a partnership of 47 to give the home side hope only for Hampshire to take a flurry of wickets.
Gloucestershire Women came up 25 runs short at home to Wales at Thornbury in a 30-over friendly.
The visitors were restricted to 138-8 with the wickets being shared around ahead of Gloucestershire being pegged back to a total of 113, Chloe Skelton (29) and Katie Jones (19) top scoring.
