MCC Girls Cotswolds Hub U15s Reach Lords 2021

Gloucestershire Cricket Board are extremely proud of a group of girls from our wonderful county. They have reached the MCC Foundation Finals, which will be played at Lords on Monday 20th September.

When this group of girls came together (Aged between 11-15) on a winter’s day in early 2021 for trials, not in their wildest dreams could they have ever imagined, they would be playing the Final at ‘the home of cricket’ Lords in September. The Cotswolds Girls Hub navigated their way through four rounds, having the great fortune to play the Quarter and Semi-Finals at Winchester & Harrow School respectively.

The girls who are representing the region are:

  • Fleur Archer (Dumbleton)
  • Sophie Smith-Graham (Dumbleton)
  • Izzy Churchman (Dumbleton)
  • Grace Clargo (Dumbleton)
  • Tabatha Dann Ward (Cirencester Cotswolds)
  • Alice Bailey (Dumbleton)
  • Grace Hopkins (Dumbleton)
  • Josie Clargo (Dumbleton)
  • Melissa Kelly (Cirencester Cotswolds)
  • Amelia Moore (Dumbleton)
  • Kiera Woodcock (Cirencester Cotswolds)
  • Ruby Elkins (Upton St Leonards)

The MCC Foundation has built a network of 60+ cricket hubs across the UK, creating greater access to cricket for girls and boys at all ages.

We wish all the very best to the girls and also to our very own Gloucestershire Cricket Board coaches Millie Ashford and Neil Kelly, who will be supporting the girls on the day.
