Round-up of the latest U16 and U19 Blast action

HATHERLEY & Reddings timed their reply to perfection to trump Cirencester by five wickets in the latest round of matches in the Marsh Commercial U16 T20.

Ciren, who won the toss in this North Development clash, racked up 153-3 thanks mainly to captain Louis Sabbagh-Holt (52 retired) and fellow opener Harry Brownless (38) with Ed Nichol unbeaten on 30.

In reply, Hatherley sealed the spoils with five balls to spare through Ansh Nair (53 retired) and James Burton (41 not) despite Ellis Sabbagh-Holt taking 3-32 from his four.

Lechlade restricted Bourton Vale to 92-8 before romping in by eight wickets with more than five overs to spare.

Logan Bell top scored on 25 for Bourton Vale as Finn Keating caught the eye with a burst of 4-17. And opener Zach Moledina (36 not) then led the Lechlade reply.

In the South Performance League, Golden Hill trumped Bedminster by 46 runs.

Opener Sam Brooks (53 retired), Will Windows (46) and Marcus Allen (32) powered Golden Hill to 172-3 ahead of Bedminster being restricted to a reply of 126-5, opener Ben Britton retiring on 52.

Champions Dumbleton, meanwhile, were pushed all the way before completing a 14-run home win over Frocester in their final group game in the Vitality U19 T20 in partnership with Stuart Turner.

Captain Dan Holland retired on 52 off 39 (four fours, four sixes) in a total of 143-8, Harry Robbins claiming 2-22 and Alex Russell 2-24, both from four.

In reply, Frocester came up just short at 129-9 with opener Angus Catto (33) and Ben French (26) top scoring as Fraser Loveday, Myles Holland, brother Dan and Freddie Sharp all captured two wickets apiece.
