Wicketz Community Coach

The Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and community-minded individual to join our team as the Wicketz Community Coach. Whether you are an aspiring coach, recent graduate, or someone ready to take the next step in your coaching journey, this role offers an incredible first step into a career in cricket and sports development.

Working in partnership with the Lord’s Taverners, the nationally recognised Wicketz programme uses cricket as a vehicle to inspire young people living in underserved communities. It is about far more than coaching cricket; it is about building confidence, creating opportunities, developing life skills and helping young people realise what they are capable of.

Deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday, 2nd August, 2026.

Community Coach x2

The Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation are looking to recruit two highly motivated and competent Community Cricket Coaches to support and work within the Cricket Development team. The role’s main focus will be to increase participation whilst creating a network of ‘cricket playing’ schools that see cricket as part of their day-to-day activity. You will be expected to develop links to local community hubs and cricket clubs and support and lead on relevant competitions.

Deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday, 2nd August, 2026.

Not in Education, Employment or Training

Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation (GCF) is proud to announce a new partnership with Medlock Charitable Trust (MCT) aimed at creating meaningful training and intern opportunities for young people across Gloucestershire who are currently not in education, employment, or training (NEET).

Thanks to this partnership the Gloucestershire Cricket Foundation is offering six‑month internships to support six young people aged 18 to 24.

The collaboration will deliver structured programmes combining accredited training, workshops, mentoring, and hands-on work placements within community sport and related sectors. The initiative is designed to equip participants with practical skills, workplace confidence, and clear progression pathways into sustainable employment or further education.

The time commitment required will be dependent on the needs of the individual.

Chris Munden / Cricket Operations Manager

Chris Munden / Cricket Operations Manager

Chris is the longest standing member of the team, having joined the GCB in 2008 as a Community Coach. Since then, Chris has developed greatly moving on to become a Development Officer, a National Programmes and Project lead and now the manager of the entire delivery team across educational and national programmes. His role covers a wide range of areas including overseeing all schools cricket, the incredible National Programmes of All Stars and Dynamos, Chance To Shine Schools and Street programmes along with being the key lead for Adult league Cricket. Chris also manages the Workforce Development Officer, as a highly competent coaching workforce is so integral to the work areas that he leads on. In his time the GCB have won awards that he had led on, including Chance to Shine County of the Year and Street Chance Project of the Year. As a local Bristolian, Chris is a Bristol City fan, who enjoys all sports. Chris is married, has two beautiful daughters, plays local cricket and enjoys a good hack at golf.
