Women’s Big Cricket Month – 12 days to go

Women’s Big Cricket Month is back for a second year, aiming to give more women and girls the opportunity to play, follow or attend cricket in 2021.

What is Women’s Big Cricket Month?

Women’s Big Cricket Month, taking place during June, is a month-long celebration of everything brilliant about women’s and girls’ cricket with the ambition of celebrating all activities happening across Gloucestershire.

Why take part?

Women’s sport has been adversely affected by COVID-19. As we emerge from the pandemic and with the cricket season now well under way, it’s time to shine a light on women’s and girls’ cricket.

With your support, we’d like to celebrate, under one umbrella of ‘Women’s Big Cricket Month’ all the fantastic activity taking place during June to grow the women’s and girls’ game.

It could be a women’s soft ball festival, a girl’s under 13s match, a women’s league game, or an event to celebrate the outstanding women at your club. Whatever the activity, we’d love your cricket club to unite with others across the Country and be part of #WomensCricketMonth.

What do I need to do?

Complete the form via the button below to register the women’s and/or girls’ activity you have organised during June.

What happens once I’ve registered?

Once registered, you will receive access to social media banners, editable posters and logos you can use to promote your event and celebrate on social media. Thanks for everything you do for women’s and girls’ cricket, we really appreciate it.

See Gloucestershire Girls’ attempt to inspire others

Gloucestershire Girls had a once in a life time opportunity to play on Clifton Suspension Bridge with the aim of inspiring more girls to pick up a bat and ball. The event was broadcast on ITV West Country News on Wednesday 19th May.
